Things are moving apace in the Le Tour Ripon planning. The Ripon Le Tour 2014 100 mile Sportive is set for the week after the Grande Depart.

Go on, enter the race, set for the 13th July and test yourself on the route itself!

The Arts and Culture Festival is now all set for our opening event on 27th March at Ripon Cathedral, with our opening speaker, the legendary Graeme Obree talking on 4th April.

On the 25th April around the world cyclist Alistair Humphries continues the talks at Newby Hall, so get booking on our ticket line.

On the 16th May we’ve got a special treat, with Rob Penn of ‘It’s all about the bike’ fame, speaking at Fountains Abbey. This evening event will be outdoors at the Abbey itself, starting of with some jazz music, so make sure that you book a place.

header_h400_w980_bWe’ve also got a number of family bike rides lined up at both Fountains Abbey and Newby Hall, along with some longer Sky Rides from British Cycling and the National Trust. All safely off road, so that the family can enjoy it together. We’re also having some Sky rides from the National Trust at Fountains Abbey, so watch here for the dates.

And on the weekend itself is rollapalluza, smoothie bikes, a childrens fun tent and a big screen on the Market Place. All with some great food providers just waiting to help feed you while you enjoy watching Le Tour as it speeds through the Dales on route to Ripon!
